Committee Notes -

In an effort to keep Ashton Preserve looking its best, all homeowners are asked to be mindful of the following items.

-         Sidewalks in many areas are in need of edging.  Please trim the grass growing over the sidewalk’s edge regularly.

-         Limbs on some community street trees are too low for adults to walk under.  Please trim the limbs of these trees which border your property, as needed.

-         Lamp posts and mailboxes that may have tilted should be straighten to vertical, if needed.

-         Damaged mailboxes must be repaired or replaced.  The Post Office may not deliver to a damaged mailbox.

-         Stakes on trees planted for more than a year can and should be removed.

-         Mold and mildew growing on exterior siding should be removed.

-         Ladders should not be stored outside of homes.

-         Exterior AC units on the sides on some homes are not level.  Tilted AC units may or may not affect the operation and lifespan of these units. Please level as needed.

-         Portable basketball backboards/hoops should not be kept overnight on common property.  Please return them to your own property/driveway after use.

-         Vegetable plants/gardens should not be planted in front or side yards, only in rear yards.

-         All planted areas should be kept free of weeds, bags of mulch, and other supplies.

-         All dead trees and shrubs should be removed. ARC approval is not necessary for replacement with the same type of tree or shrub in the same location.  Please consult HOA documents for complete replacement requirements.

-         Garbage cans/receptacles and recycling bins must not be left outside prior to the night before the day of pickup.  They must be stored out of sight after pickup, on the same day.

-         Supplies such as lumber, bricks, stone, bags of concrete, and bags of mulch, etc. must not be stored outside unless an active, approved project is underway.

Please be aware that there will be an annual neighborhood walk-through of the community to determine compliance with the HOA Architectural Covenants.

Thank you for your help in maintaining our community!

-The Architectural Review Committee

On August 31, 2004, the Board of Directors met with the Architectural Review Committee at which time they drafted Architectural Rules, Regulations and Guidelines for properties in Ashton Preserve.

The document, which addresses such things as decks, fencing and most exterior things which are visible in the Community, is designed to give both the CAC and homeowners a basic reference for changes being made to properties in the neighborhood.
